8 Minute Deer field dress

I was recently invited on a deer hunt in South Carolina by a friend whom I serve with in Iraq. His cousin runs a hunting guide and recreational real estate business and we hunted on 500 acres about an hour from Florence, SC. One of the guys at the hunting camp (known as “The Barn”) demonstrated his technique for field dressing a deer in 8 minutes and getting it into a walk-in meat cooler.

@reye35 well, depends on where you shoot it. but deer go into shock very quickly as they are timid animals. so the pain doesnt truly hurt them because they are too scared. if you shoot it in the head, heart, or vital organs, it dies almost instantly, feeling minimal pain. also, since it isnt as developed as humans, it has fewer nerves so it feels even less pain

i dont know where to start..??!! for some strainge reason i wanted to see some thing like this. im from La Ca and we dont hunt over here.. but to see the way the dude took the deer and hooked it up, was a treat.. im not one of those “peta” people, and i dont ‘bash’ people that hunt, after all dont i eat meat from the store? and to see this.. wow, i wish i had the chance to hunt my din-din.. good job dude, only one question… did the deer suffer when it was shot? can you explaine this? thanks..

@bobbrode314 I use to live up north born and raised and the deer are the same size BUT up north you all don’t have Elk. I lived in both the south and mid west so its not as if I am playing north vs south. deer is deer antler size is what really matters

  • MrWolverine777:

@ScrtAznMn You should have that would have be funny. That is halarious watch a hunter take a shot at it that would be great

  • ScrtAznMn:

@MrWolverine777 I was tempted to stuff the hide and head with sticks and straw and prop it up in an open field by the road.

  • MrWolverine777:

Give that deer head CPR hurry

field dressing is removing the entrails in the field. thats why it’s called “field” dressing. i’m from south carolina too just about everybody can do this, and every one has the trough! cool vid, though. reminds me of home!

I think it took him less than 8 minutes. LOL! I count from the time he put the deer in the rack, and put it in the freezer. ANd I think it was less than 8. Awesome job. Like one of the other commentors said, better lighting would have been nice, but it was just cool to see done, and to see it done so fast. Very nice!

  • jakespeed23:

  • broadcast666this:
