The dice took us to a new housing estate where we popped in to the sales house and pretended to be looking for property in the area. I don’t think they believed us, but they gave us a brochure anyway.

That helpless feeling can consume every ounce of energy from your body.
Two years ago I talked to a man with that same helpless feeling. David and his wife had a home in Lilburn that they needed to sell quickly. Now I never met David. He found my company by searching the internet from his new home in Maryland. David works for the Federal Government and was transferred from Lilburn three years ago. After determining the cost to remediate the mold and repair the water lines, replace the moldy carpet and repaint the entire home, I felt we would be able to take over his mortgage payments, do the repairs and re-sell it fairly fast. When I told David we would be able to get him off the deed in a couple of days and relieve him of those monthly mortgage payments, he was ecstatic. We handled the entire purchase transaction over the internet and via Fed EX and began work on the renovations five days after we first talked.
David wasn’t desperate, he wasn’t in foreclosure. He had a good job and could afford the double mortgage payments, but after three years, he decided it was time to sell that Lilburn Georgia home. Why, you ask didn’t he rent it out? Have you ever been a landlord? It can be really challenging especially from 600 miles away.
