I have been to every site imaginable looking for a decent logarithmic explanation, as I am cramming for a CLEP exam that I thought would be a piece of cake, lol. This is by far the best explanation I’ve seen! Thank you so much for your wonderful teaching methods! Great voice btw ; )

    @SeanRonaldo7 gotchya

  • kingsman12:

hehe kinda agree mainly because i hate math, its so boring and hard… but i would admit these vids are a great help

  • SeanRonaldo7:

@lakersfanfor3va i understand that dude, thats why i said certain occupations actually use this nonsense. im just saying why make everyone learn what only a select few will end up using, this goes for many other topics in math.

  • lakersfanfor3va:

@SeanRonaldo7 logarithms help people understand carbon dating and how long ago people have lived from fossils. it lets us figure out how old trees can be without having to cut them down and count the rings. and even if ur not gonna do this in the future, know that others will

  • TijoKJose:

Thanks for posting this! I would have failed Math 130, were it not for this video!

  • salx1000:

u have a point that u wont walk down the street thinking of logs of a rock. however if u memorize, u will pass the exam, then forget. if u understand how each property is derived, then it will help u significantly when u are in other math classes.

  • SeanRonaldo7:

the point of math is to pass exams.. when would you actually use this stuff later on in life..? only certain occupations require this stuff, and im not going to walk down the street and say “oh wait, let me find the log of this rock”, because that would be stupid. other than that, you did help with my math homework.

  • nazaraslan:

It would be awesome if you could post some videos on Quantitative Methods part of CFA Level I Exam…

  • idster7:

@khanacademy if you could perhaps make a computer science playlist sometime in the future, that would be awesome. also, i wonder where the proofs videos are that you referred to in this video. thank you so much. this site is awesome.

  • HowAboutSomeTruth1:

  • MrGrandDragon:

its been a life changing experience! i even lost a few pounds concentrating…slim fast mathematics

  • jrf185:

I’ve had some great math teachers in my life, but none of them have made learning as intuitive as you. Thanks so much, I needed to review logarithms for calculus and this made it simple.

  • hokcjames:

At the end of the presentation, you will see log(2)32 [2 as the base], 5 is the power of 2, since 32 is another wise express as 2^5.
    Same for the other

  • B2Bvenusdoom:
